Using the site

The Stygian Archive is a free Conquest Dark community site. Importing and saving require sign-in. Use an email address you control and follow the community rules, which form part of these terms.

Your content

Only share content you have permission to use. You allow us to store and process it to provide this service.

Your username, published builds and comments are public. Publishing shares the build string you imported from Conquest Dark, including any original author and description stored inside it. Review it before sharing. Saved builds stay private until you publish them.

You allow us to display and distribute your published content through the site and players to copy and use the build in Conquest Dark.

You can edit, unpublish or delete your builds and delete your comments or account. Account deletion removes your builds, comments and ratings. Copies already taken by others cannot be recalled.

Moderation and changes

We may hide content or restrict participation for unlawful content or breaches of the community rules. Those rules explain the process and how to request a review.

We will notify you of significant changes to these terms. Your statutory rights are unaffected.

What we use and why

• Your account and contributions: email, username, sign-in records, terms acceptance, saved builds, comments and ratings. We use these to provide the service you request under our agreement with you. Email is required to create an account; browsing and copying builds need no account.
• Security and support: temporary identifiers derived from email/IP addresses, messages, reports and moderation records. We use these to protect the site, answer requests and resolve disputes — our legitimate interests.
• Illegal-content notices: contact details, the reported content and our response. We use these to meet our legal obligations.

Reports attach your username and email privately. Moderators may also record relevant public content when reviewing a concern. Your account email, individual ratings and report contact details are not public.

We do not use your data for advertising or marketing, and do not make automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects.

Service providers

Cloudflare hosts the site and database, checks sign-in requests for bots with Turnstile, sends login and moderation emails, and forwards support mail to a Gmail inbox we operate. Google handles that inbox; your own email provider handles messages delivered to you. These providers process connection, security and delivery information.

The database is in Cloudflare’s EU jurisdiction, but hosting and email can involve processing outside the EEA. Transfer safeguards include standard contractual clauses and applicable adequacy decisions. Details are available in Cloudflare’s data processing terms and Google’s transfer safeguards.

Cookies and retention

Our sign-in cookie keeps you signed in for up to 30 days, without automatic renewal. Sign out to end the session; account settings also lets you sign out on all devices. Login links expire after 15 minutes. We use no advertising or analytics cookies and do not store build drafts in your browser.

• Account and content: kept until you delete them or the service closes. Account deletion removes your account, builds, comments and ratings from the active service.
• Expired login records and security counters: removed during daily cleanup. Database recovery history may retain deleted data for up to 30 days.
• Reports and moderation: resolved reports are removed after 180 days; decision records after 180 days from the decision. Open reports remain until resolved. Necessary report evidence and contact details can remain for these periods after account deletion, with the account link removed.
• Email: notification delivery records are removed within 30 days, or sooner when the linked account/report is deleted. Resolved support correspondence is removed within 90 days unless a dispute or legal obligation requires longer retention.
